Nip + Fab Glycolic Instant Fix Mask
So lately, I’ve been super obsessed with skincare. Growing up, I didn’t really have a skincare routine instilled in me so it never became a habit until I went to beauty school. I’ve been meaning to try Nip + Fab for the longest time and without looking for it, it was right in front of my face at Ulta, lol. One of my favourites this month has been their Glycolic Instant Fix Mask.
From the Nip + Fab website:
An extension to our bestselling glycolic fix range, the glycolic instant fix mask is a high potency, pore-tightening gel mask to perfect and exfoliate the complexion. Our highest level of glycolic acid combines with Evermat™ technology to gently smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles whilst reducing the look of enlarged pores. Skin is more even-toned and visually smoother.
Glycolic acid : retextures and resurfaces. Reduces appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Evermat™ : minimizes pore size, reduces shine, refines skin tone
Amino acid : skin brightener, helps fade age-spots, improves clarity and evenness of skin tone
Glycerin : moisturises, revives and helps restore skin suppleness
Like anything that has glycolic acid in it, it does stink a little when first applying, but it doesn’t last long. I would probably steer clear if you have sensitive skin. After using, there’s definitely significant difference in the texture of my skin and my skin looks more radiant. I also really enjoy that it’s a quick mask, you only have to leave it on for 10 minutes.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Alright ya’ll, I know this has been a fav in the beauty community for the longest time, but whenever I went to Sephora, it was always out of stock. During my last Sephora trip, I had no intentions of even buying it. I think it’s just instinct to check if it’s in stock lol because guys, it’s literally never in stock… but FINALLY, this time it was and I am IN LOVE. It’s my first liquid lipstick and I’m not sure I could ever go back to regular lipstick, it’s just so much more convenient.
Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Wipes
I originally picked this up for my Trip to the Philippines (which I’m totally not done posting my trip, so stay tuned. Check out Boracay, part 1 here and Boracay part 2 here) and also because at the time, I had lash extensions and couldn’t use my Cleansing Oil from Josie Maran. Neutrogena, in general, have great makeup remover wipes that don’t leave a greasy, yucky feeling on your face and they get the job done. I just preferred these because they’re natural, but they also smell amazing and leave my skin feeling soft.
MUFE Pro Bronze Fusion in 30M
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Medium Light Neutral
I’ve never really used a concealer for my undereye area because I actually don’t have dark circles underneath my eyes (Thank you Lord!) However I still needed some brightness there which is why I decided to pick this baby up. I was hesitant about this when it came out because I heard very mixed things on the UD Naked Skin foundation, including negative reviews from people with oily skin which is totally me. So I did my research and saw tons of positive reviews so I decided to take the plunge AND I’m SO glad I did! I have no issues with it wearing away, it lasts all day and it does a great job of brightening up my undereye area.
Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal
I am a sucker for beautiful highlights and MAC’s Soft and Gentle has been my go-to for years now. These babies come in at a whooping 38 bucks and although they are totally, absolutely worth the money, the big price tag turned me away for a long time. I bought this back in May before my trip to the Philippines as I was going to be in a wedding and I finally decided to treat myself because I wanted my highlight to be flawless the entire time. A lot of highlighters can look like you just threw glitter on your skin and essentially reminds me of the glitter I used to put on my face for cheerleading, but these look like you’re glowing from within.
It Cosmetics Brushes for Ulta in #110 Airbrush Buffing Foundation
For a little while now, I’ve been using the Expert Face brush from Real Techniques and while I like it just fine, it’s just not big enough of a brush for putting on foundation. I’ve been wanting a couple brushes from It Cosmetics for a long time, but they have quite a hefty price tag as well. Luckily for those on a budget, It Cosmetics has a collaboration with Ulta for brushes! This one right here is just your typical flat top kabuki brush, but it is so incredibly soft and buffs in foundation seamlessly.
Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer
I spent 50 dollars on this and I have no shame. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Although it’s pretty light and in the pictures, it literally looks like a cream foundation, so for my darker skinned girls, this is something you can pass on. I was even a little concerned it wouldn’t show up on my skin and I’m a NC40 if that helps with a visual. It’s a cream bronzer that goes on like a power bronzer and it’s a very subtle glow that’s beautiful for a low maintenance makeup day. I used this literally everyday for a month and I barely made a dent. So while the price tag is definitely scary, this will last forever.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Tan
Two concealers in one favourites post?! Yeah, lol. This one is definitely a lot more full coverage than the UD Naked Skin concealer and I believe it’s because it’s specifically targeted for that purpose. I got mine in the shade Tan. All of these are very pink based and that really helps for those dealing with serious dark circles, but I’d still be careful if you are like me and have more of an olive or yellow undertone in your skin. I use this with a beauty blender since it’s on the thicker side. All that aside, it definitely does a great job of really brightening up that under eye area.
Here are swatches of everything. From left to right (or bottom to top for the right picture), It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer in Tan, Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita, Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal, MUFE Pro Fusion Bronzer in 30M, and UD Naked Skin Concealer in Medium Light Neutral.
Oh and this was me struggling to get a good swatch of Soleil Tan De Chanel lol, that’s just how subtle this bronzer is and that’s why I think it’s beautiful for a look that’s a little bit more of that “no makeup, makeup” look.
Thank you everyone for reading, hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and how you feel about them! What have been your favourites in the month of June?
