I did this look this past weekend for Uriel’s birthday party. Honestly, it happened on a whim because at first it was a hot ass mess… trust me lol.

So I guess this is what happens when you walk into Sephora, Ulta and Target without any real reason.
Listen, I went into Sephora to buy a new beauty blender and the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. What I ended up walking with an entire different story. After that it just spiraled out of control 😁 A trip to Ulta and Target followed suit because, of course, they’re all in the same strip. It’s like they set people up for failure!
I don’t venture into color when it comes to my eyeshadow quite often. To be honest, I find it a bit difficult considering my lack of a crease. In an attempt to break out of my shell, I tried a purple look.. and I loved it! Maybe I’ll venture into more bold eyeshadow looks instead of my typical neutral looks in the future 😊

A couple of weeks ago, I attended America’s Beauty Show in Chicago at McCormick Place. Imagine IMATS, but with hair products haha. You have all the major lines there such as Paul Mitchell, Redken, TIGI, Pureoology, CHI, Moroccan Oil, American Crew, etc. As well as tons of smaller brands intermixed throughout. If you are a hair and makeup junkie like me (I mean let’s be real, you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t), this place is heaven. You have hundreds of vendors, great deals, tons of stages and presentations. You’d literally have to be lacking a creative bone in your body if this place didn’t inspire you at all. This was the 2nd year I’ve attended and lemme tell you, I handled it a lot better than last year! I went as a student and it was my first time going so I seriously had NO idea what to expect. I’ve been to the Auto Show at McCormick Place several times, but the beauty show is a whole other level. Definitely overwhelming to say the least. This year, I went into it with a list of booths I couldn’t miss and it made my day so much easier! I made sure I had enough time to visit all the booths I wanted to visit and buy all the products I needed to get because HELLO? amazing deals! The show isn’t just limited to only hair lines, they also have lots of makeup vendors as well as a separate show in the same building for skin and body. The highlight of my entire day was getting the opportunity to meet JP DeJoria, co-founder and co-owner of Paul Mitchell. He has such a great spirit about him that even being in his presence for five minutes was awesome.
FUN FACT: the backstreet boys were there??????????? I saw Nick Carter in person. It was weird, haha.
